It is Highly recommended to recite the following 125,000 ( equivalent of 1250 Tasbih ) up to the 40^th day

(1)  la lllaha illallah : (2) Surah al Qadr : (3) Surah al lkhlas (Tawheed)

Amal on the day of Chehlum of the deceased

Recite the following Surahs and Duas:

41 Times each of :

Yasin Ch. 36	Ar Rehman Ch. 55	Al Mulk Ch. 67	Al Waqiyah Ch.56
Al Muzammil Ch. 73	Ad Dar Ch. 76	Four Quls	Al Nasrah Ch.94
Al Kauthar Ch 108	Ayat al Kursi Ch. 2 verses -255-257

Once only :

At Tawba Ch. 9

Duas all one each :

Kumayl	Mashul	Tawbah	Adillah

Tasbihat 41 times :

Astaghfirullah
Ammay Yojibul
Ayat-e Karima
Bi-Haqqi Kaf Ha Yaa Ayn Sad Bi-Haqqi Ha Mim Ayn Sin Qaf
Bismillaahir Rahman Nir Rahim Bi-Haqqi Bismillaahir Rahman Nir Rahim

Everyone who is performing the above Amal should pray two rakat salat and any surah which is remembered by heart and offer the reward thereof to the soul of the deceased through Masumin (a.s.).

. Please recite fateha for the Murhumeen.

Recite the following Surahs:

Al Fatihah Ch.1	Yasin Ch 36	al Mulk Ch. 67 (40 Times)
As Safat Ch.37	al Ahzab Ch 33	al A'araf Ch. 7
(Ayat 154) a1 Baqarah Ch. 2	(3 or 7 Times) a1 Tauheed – Ikhlas Ch. 112	a1 Kafirun Ch. 109
a1 Fa1aq Ch. 113	an Nas Ch. 114

Tasbihat : Recite 100 times each of the following:

Subh' aanallaali wal h' amdu lillaahi wa laa ilaaha illallaahu wallaahu akbar
Allaahumma s'alli a'laa muh' ammadin wa aali muh' ammad
Astaghfirulaaha rabbee wa atoobu ila y
Amma y yujeebul muz"t' arra id' aada-a' a- u wa yakshifus sooo-a
Laa ilaaha illaa ant a subh'aanaka innee kuntu minaz'z'-aa- llmeen

Pray 80 rakats like Fajr salat is highly recommended, which every person can pray. It would be better if blood relatives pray.

If deceased was regular in praying Salat, but due to sickness in his/ her last days could not offer for few days, his/her Qaza Salat should be prayed before burial

Please recite fateha for the Murhumeen.

A prayer (dua) on sighting the new moon of the Month of Ramadan

The new moon of Month of Ramadan is special to Muslims.

 It announces the start of the Holy Month and the beginning of the blessings and
 mercy associated with Month of  Ramadan.

According to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (as), whoever sees the new moon of
Month of Ramadan should recite the following prayer/dua:

In the name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful.
My Lord and your Lord is Allah, Lord of the worlds.
O’ Allah let the new moon bring us, peace and faith, safety and submission, and a
hastening towards what You like and are pleased with.
O’ Allah bless us in this month of ours, and give us of its good, and its assistance.

Keep us away from its harm, and its evil, its difficulties, and its trials.
